Utah Jazz
Moneyline Pick - Utah Jazz (-175): B
Utah’s healthier front line with Lauri Markkanen and Jaren Jackson Jr. gets the nod on the moneyline against a Memphis team staggering in on a five-game losing streak while the Jazz have dropped four straight of their own. With Ja Morant, Santi Aldama, Zach Edey, Brandon Clarke, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and several key rotation guards all shut down or sidelined, the Grizzlies are down to a patchwork roster that just doesn’t match Utah’s talent level or continuity. Markkanen has already hung a mid-30s scoring night on Memphis this season and JJJ has a long history of production in this matchup, whereas the Grizzlies’ earlier wins in the series leaned heavily on now-injured scorers like Aldama and GG Jackson. Even in a lottery game with low playoff stakes, Utah at home with the vastly cleaner injury report justifies laying the -175 moneyline price, though late-season variance keeps this at a B rather than an A-tier edge. Odds and availability are subject to change. This bet was made at 10/04/2026 10:03
Over/Under Pick - Over 248.5, (-110): B-
Memphis’ recent box scores scream track meet, with their last five games routinely landing in the mid-240s and even into the 260s, while Utah comes in on a four-game skid where they’ve allowed 130-plus in every outing and bled points at the arc and in transition. Both teams are long eliminated from the playoff picture, which has pushed coaches toward uptempo, development-heavy lineups and away from grinding half-court defense, and the Grizzlies’ rash of frontcourt injuries has stripped them of rim protection and defensive rebounding that might otherwise slow things down. Markkanen, Keyonte George and Jackson Jr. on one side, plus a hungry group of Memphis young guards on the other, have already produced multiple mid-250s totals in this season’s series, and there’s little reason to expect either staff to suddenly emphasize stops over pace in Game 81. The number is enormous, so late-season weirdness and cold shooting spells keep this at a B- confidence level, but the recent trends and matchup still point me to Over 248.5 (-110). Odds and availability are subject to change. This bet was made at 10/04/2026 10:03
Spread Pick - Utah Jazz, -3.5 (-120): B-
Utah backers get a manageable number to clear at -3.5, and with both sides on multi-game losing streaks, the bigger concern is margin more than motivation as the Jazz’ relatively intact rotation faces a Memphis squad missing Morant plus most of its impact frontcourt and several perimeter pieces. Earlier in the season the Grizzlies bullied Utah behind huge nights from Aldama, GG Jackson and Olivier-Maxence Prosper, but all three are now out, flipping the interior edge toward Markkanen, Walker Kessler and Jaren Jackson Jr. against a Memphis group relying heavily on two-way and deep-bench bigs. Utah’s defense is still leaky, yet at home, with the more stable scoring hierarchy and cleaner depth chart in what projects as another high-possession game, they’re better positioned to create a late cushion through free throws and second-chance points even in a low-stakes, non-playoff setting. The extra juice at -120 and tank-season volatility cap this at a B- grade, but Jazz -3.5 is my preferred side. Odds and availability are subject to change. This bet was made at 10/04/2026 10:03
